Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) method modified by Dr. Akaki Tsilosani gives the chance to achieve maximally optimal results even in high levels (VI-VII) of androgenic alopecia’s.

Before and after hair transplant with a FUE method.
Minimally invasive FUE method involves obtaining individual grafts from any area of the head and/or body.
Steps of the procedure:
1. The scalp hairs are trimmed up to 1-2 mm. After this hair transplant surgeon checks the donor area by using the folliscope system, which allows to establish average quantity of hair in each FUs, density and the quality of hairs.
2. At the recipient area surgeon starts creating recipient sites. For this special needles of different sizes (0,8mm to 1,1mm in diameter) with depth limiters are being used.
3. For counting the created recipient sites a special counting machine designed by Dr. A. Tsilosani is used (Patent #U1067, issued by Georgian National Institute of Intellectual Property). The number of sites are automatically calculated at the display of the monitor. This system gives nice opportunity to our patients to personally make the monitoring of the number of transplanted hairs.
4. For grafts excision surgeon uses special machine and the punches, which doesn’t leave linear scars at donor area.
5. For FUE method Dr. A. Tsilosani uses the punches invented by him personally (Patent #P3010, issued by Georgian National Institute of Intellectual Property). Punch with a special window helps to extract grafts safely, moreover it has a maximized sharpness and makes the process of grafts excision non traumatic.
6. Extracted grafts are placed on special containers and kept in Petri dishes.
7. 2-3 surgical assistants simultaneously start placing the extracted grafts in the premade recipient site.
8. This is the way recipient and donor areas look like immediately after the procedure.
